Executed circa 1922 in Dieppe, the present drawing probably depicts a cabaret café on the Rue Henri IV.
A gift from Thérèse Sickert to Clifford Ellis in 1942

Executed on thin buff coloured paper. Dirt handling marks to margins. Some surface dirt and light-staining throughout, two circa 4.5 cm/and 3.5 cm areas of paper loss of the upper and lower left corner of the sheet, A circa 2.5 cm tear and t hree areas of glue residues to the extreme slightly fringed left edge of the sheet. Several flattended creases running across the sheet. Other minor defects. Please refer to additional images. Framed and under glass. Inscribed 'Grand Hotel Restaurant'.
