A gilt bronze figure of Manjusri, Nepal, seated in padmasana on a double lotus throne, holding a khadga raised in his right hand, the stem of a padma in his left, which flowers at his left shoulder, supporting his book, wearing elaborate crown and tall headdress surmounted by vajra finial, the face with down-cast eyes and benevolent expression, with a green a red stone inlay, 15.5cm high, 1,458 grams

gilding worn and with some hardstone inlays missing, we have been unable to date the age of this lot, in our opinion in has nice wear and has some age, but we can not guarantee this. This piece has come from a private collector and the vendor purchased this piece about 15 years ago, but we do not have any further details.

Lots marked with a delta symbol (δ) are subject to the Artist's Resale Right Law.The buyer agrees to pay Bloomsbury Auctions an amount equal to the resale royalty and we will pay such amount to the artist's collecting agent. Resale royalty applies where the Hammer price is 1,000 Euros or more and the amount cannot be more than 12,500 Euros per lot. The amount is calculated as follows:
