Sarouk carpet, the ivory field with a sand coloured lobed medallion centred by a flowerhead, all on a pale blue ground with shrubs and trees, red lobed spandrels with arabesques, cartouche border, approximately 390 x 290cm
Provenance: From the estate of Philippa Bradstock of Longbottom House, Biddesden
The carpet retains very good pile overall. and shows very little sign of wear except for some minor wear at the outermost edges
Some binding to the longest edges has been replaced but neatly excecuted.
To the central area of one of the longest edges there are two small patches where a stain has been cleaned and the colour has been partly bleached. Please refer to the additional images for visual reference to this. The largest area of the two is approximate;y 3 x 4cm in size.
very minor fraying to woven binding to longest edges and very minimal loss there.
Generally fair condition overall no other noticeable damages.
