A George III mahogany settee, circa 1780, the arched rectangular back above a pair of padded arms with moulded downswept terminals, the rectangular seat above square section legs joined by an H shaped stretcher, 103cm high, 93cm wide, 84cm deep
Provenance: Private collection from a Country House, Surrey
The upholstery is in clean, neat condition, very few marks or signs of wear.
The seat rails have been later replaced.
We cannot guarantee the originality of the fabric underlying the upholstery.
The upholstery has traditional horse hair beneath.
The upper most part of the one arm terminal with a chip detached but repaired (see image). The opposing arm terminal with an intended mark.
