first edition , engraved additional pictorial title with facing letterpress 'Mind of the Front' explanatory leaf, title in red and black, 16 engraved plans of formal gardens on 8 plates, a few folded at foot (one or two with slight loss), titles and a few other leaves soiled, light water-staining to lower edge, a few rust spots, contemporary ink signature of R.Marrow at head of front free endpaper, engraved armorial bookplate, contemporary sheep, rather worn, [Henrey 325; Wing R421], small folio, J.G. for Richard Marriott, 1665.
