text in Latin and French, the French by Gilles Corrozet, Frellon's crab and butterfly woodcut device on title, 94 woodcut illustrations by Hans Holbein the younger, 4 other medallion woodcuts by a different artist on verso of penultimate leaf, A2 repair at foot, mostly marginal, but just touching part of c.3 or 4 letters, occcasional (mostly light) spotting, a few finger-marks, lightly browned, 20th century blind-tooled and gilt morocco, rubbed at extremities, [Adams B1963; Mortimer, French, 281], small 4to, Lyon, Jean Frellon, 1547.
⁂ There were two editions printed by Frellon in 1547. This copy is the later of the two editions, with text re-set. (see Mortimer for details).
