Hadley Rille meanders through the lower centre and the Apennine Mountains are at lower right. While Scott and Irwin spent 66 hours on the lunar surface, overhead in solo orbit Worden operated three photographic systems one of which, the Fairchild metric camera, was located in the SIM bay of the Apollo 15 CSM along with the stellar camera, the laser altimeter, and the panoramic camera.
