1. Dorset.- Grant by John Jouster of Yatemynstre [Yetminster] to John of Whiteleye, leasehold of a piece of land called Stakeford [Stake Ford Cross, near Leigh], manuscript in Latin, on vellum, 8 lines, folds, some soiling and browning, tipped-in on sheet, 70 x 245mm., 16th June 1348.
Written at the onset of the Black Death, traditionally coming to England in a ship from Genoa, and landing at Melcombe Regis in Dorset in the summer of 1348.
