St. Gregory (?), single leaf from a Book of Hours, illuminated manuscript on vellum, large miniature of an elderly male saint in gold armour and blue helmet, holding a sword in one hand and casket, or perhaps the model of a church, in the other, with a lion at his feet, in a courtyard, in an arched compartment, below a large initial ‘’I’ in blue, decorated in gold, and 4 lines of text, in a border of foliage and flowers in colours and gold, including a grotesque animal, 12 lines of text on verso (ruled for 15), in an elegant lettre bâtarde, 2-line initial in gold, decorated in blue, fore-edge with border of foliage and flowers in colours and gold, little marked, 120 x 80 mm., [ ?
