Hardy (Thomas) The Woodlanders, 3 vol., first edition in book form , half-titles, advertisement leaf at end of vol.1, hinges skilfully repaired, original dark green very fine bead-grain cloth, upper covers blocked in black, lower in blind, lower cover of vol. 3 slightly marked in ink, vol.1 neatly repaired at head of lower joint, otherwise a very good copy with minor rubbing to extremities, preserved in cloth drop-back box (a little rubbed and soiled), [Purdy pp.54-57; Sadleir 1120; Wolff 3002], 8vo, 1887.
