est. £100 – £150

The contents of the first four books were all selected and arranged by E. Nesbit and Robert Ellice Mack, and produced by Nister for Griffith and Farran. H. Bannerman is listed as one of the artists in Noon , and if this is Helen Bannerman it would probably be her earliest book illustration. Unfortunately only two of the illustrations are actually signed, by George Clausen and Margaret Dicksee, and there is no indication which image or images are by her.
