Dodgson wrote a poem about Maggie Bowman entitled “Maggie’s Visit to Oxford” (1889). She was one of Dodgson’s child-friends,and the youngest member of a family, most of whom performed in “Alice” and “Through the Looking Glass” at the Royal Globe Theatre in 1888.
