A very good example of the author’s fourth novel, scarce in dust-jacket, let alone signed. The inscription reads “Jack / with best wishes / Evelyn”, Jack being John “Jack” Rule, English adventurer and bon vivant , whose sister Martha Rule married Richard Deupree (President of Procter & Gamble 1930-1948).
