First publication of Minkowski’s “Raum und Zeit”: he had first introduced his theory of the space-time continuum in an earlier paper of 1907 ( Zwei Abhandlungen über die Grundgleichungen der Electrodynamik ), but the present work is less technical in its language and brought the concept to a wider audience. This work led Einstein to expand the theory of relativity to a general form.
