Sigismund Blumann was a California Bay-area photographer active in the California Camera and Los Angeles Camera Clubs. He was also a fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in England, and was very interested in alternative processes, particularly bromoils. In 1924, he became editor of Camera Craft and then went on to produce his own magazine, Photo Art Monthly, which he published until 1940.
