Reynold Brown was born in Los Angeles and was encouraged by Norman Rockwell in his art studies especially as an illustrator. After working for various magazines such as the Saturday Evening Post, and the paperback editions of the Perry Mason mysteries he moved on in the early 1950's to producing film posters. Between 1952 and 1970 he worked on over 250 films. Including the classics Ben Hur (1960), Spartacus (1960), The Alamo(1960), Dr. Zhivago (1965), and Breakfast at Tiffany (1961).
