An interesting and scarce work. Hibbert’s aim, as he writes in the Preface, was to produce “a Greek type, which, at the same time that it is calculated for ordinary use, approaches nearer to old MSS. than types that have hitherto been used.” His types have a distinctly modern look but at the time they were ignored and the fonts melted down.
