George Rodger (1908 - 1995) wrestlers of the korongo tribe, sudan, 1949 Four gelatin silver prints and one book, printed c.1940s, includes ‘Festival in Kuwait’ (Magnum stamped), ‘ Hippopotami in the mud wallows of Uganda’ and ‘Children of Coventry’. ‘Wrestlers of the Korongo Tribe, Sudan ’, printed in reverse , all prints are annotated in blue ink or pencil on verso by Colin and Grace Osman, 51x37.5cm (20x14in.). Literature: The Gordon Fraser Gallery, George Rodger , 1999, p.61, signed first edition book included in lot with personal inscription ‘To Colin with best wishes George, Ap 1975 who is remarkable for his interest in and of the photography age 24/4/75’.
