Olive Edis (Mrs. Galsworthy) (1876-1955) elizabeth garrett anderson, c.1910 Sepia toned platinum print, printed c.1910, titled in black ink on mount paper adhered to board recto, flush mounted, blindstamped, stamped with Norfolk and London addresses on mount verso, 15x10cm (6x4in.). Elizabeth Garrett Anderson (1836-1917) was a pioneering English physician and feminist, and the first woman to gain a medical qualification in Britain, in 1865.
