One of the few large format Vale productions, De Cupidinis pays homage to the high standard of fifteenth century printing and demonstrates Ricketts’ exercise of control over every facet of book production. Notable is the inking and the very deep impression of the type made from printing on dampened paper with an elegant watermark Ricketts designed.
