Christopher Richard Wynne Nevinson (1889-1946) after a german retreat: labour batallion making a road through a captured village (l.36) the very rare lithograph, 1918, a good impression, signed and dated in pencil, on laid paper, with full margins, in good condition (some minor handling creases only visible verso) 234 x 305mm.

We have found no record of this work having come to auction in the past 20 years. There is an impression in the British Museum and one also in the Imperial War Museum. This rare work was first exhibited at the Leicester Galleries, March 1918, and was number 42 in the exhibition catalogue.
