Devon.- Lease by Walter Ternyton to John Austayn, his wife Joanne and their son William in a tenement called “Kyngyscourte” in the Parish of “Dotyscombyslegh” [Doddiscombsleigh], which Thomas Austayn, father of John had formerly held, at an annual rent of 12 shillings, the lessees are not to cut wood without permission, not to sublease etc., witnessed by Sir Thomas Fulford and Robert Holberne, manuscript in Latin, on vellum, 16 lines, chirograph at head, pasted down on cardboard, small stain with slight fraying affecting a few letters in right hand margin, slits for seals (?not used), 20th July 1486; and a small quantity of later deeds, v.s., v.d.
