Letter to Mr. W.L.Cole reporting that "I have been asked to speak in dozens of states; and of yet I have felt that I could not make an exception in one case without making it in all the others; and even if possible it would be inadvisable." Roosevelt closes the letter, writing by hand "With real regret/ Theodore Roosevelt."
