Selling & Valuations
We provide a forum for the sale of Books, Manuscripts, Old Master, Modern & Contemporary Prints, Maps & Atlases, Early & Modern Photographs, Impressionist, Modern & Contemporary Art.
The commission rate payable by the vendor on the hammer price (the price at which the item(s) is sold at an auction) is 12.5% for a consignment, which sells for £10,000 or more and 15% for a consignment, which sells for less. Our commission rate for Manuscripts, Prints, Maps & Atlases, Drawings, Watercolours, Oil Paintings, Sculptures, Photographs, Music and Hebrew Material is a fixed 15%. We are always happy to agree special rates of commission for single items over £15,000 or entire collections.
We also undertake valuations for Probate and Insurance. Fees are agreed by prior arrangement and should items be subsequently consigned for sale the fees are refunded. Please contact us for more information.
